We often encounter many customers asking for prices with falsely labeled parameters, such as 500W 1000W solar street lights. After asking, they feel that the price is too expensive, leading to customer loss. What are the traps in the solar street light market based on this phenomenon?

1. Reduce false labeling

Reducing false labeling refers to the dishonest behavior of merchants who reduce product specifications without authorization, but falsely label product parameters according to the agreed specifications with customers, in order to seek price differences. This is a typical trap in the solar street light market.

The components with reduced virtual labeling are generally those that are difficult for customers to identify specific parameters on site, such as solar panels and batteries. The actual parameters of these two components need to be determined through instrument testing. Many customers have had the experience of asking different merchants for the same parameters, and the prices they get may vary greatly. Generally speaking, the raw material costs of the same product are similar. Even if there are some price differences, labor costs, and process matching between different regions, a 0.5% price difference is normal. But if the price is too much lower than the market price, it is highly likely that you will get discounted and falsely labeled goods. For example, if you request a 100W solar panel and the merchant only charges 80W, they will actually only give you 70W of power, allowing them to earn a 10W price difference. And the unit price of batteries is higher, the return rate of false labeling is higher, and it is also a high-risk area for false labeling.

Some customers also bought 6-meter 30W solar street lights, but the effect is completely different. The merchant told you that it is a 30W light, and the number of light beads is also above 30W beads. However, you don't know the actual lighting power, and you can only see that no one else's 30W light is on, and the working time and rainy days are also different.

Nowadays, even LED lights have many dishonest merchants who falsely label them with small rated power bulbs as high-power bulbs. Customers only know the number of bulbs but do not know the rated power of each bulb. For example, the popular small gold beans or floodlights in Guangdong, which often have tens or hundreds of watts, are actually made of 2835 or 5730 LED beads with a rated power of only 0.1-0.5 W per piece. Even if they are 100W, the actual rated power is only 10W.

2. Swapping concepts

The most typical concept of battery swapping is battery swapping. In fact, when we purchase batteries, we ultimately need to obtain the amount of electrical energy that the battery can store, measured in watt hours (WH). This means that the battery can be discharged with a certain power of light (W) for a total of several hours (H). However, customers often focus on the capacity of the battery in ampere hours (Ah), and even many dishonest merchants guide customers to only focus on AH without mentioning the voltage of the battery.

When using gel batteries, this is not a problem because the rated voltage of gel batteries is 12V, and everyone only needs to pay attention to the capacity. But after the lithium battery comes out, the voltage of the battery becomes more complex. The 12V system voltage comes with 11.1V ternary lithium batteries and 12.8V lithium iron phosphate batteries; There is a low-voltage system, with 3.2V lithium iron and 3.7V ternary; Even some manufacturers have 9.6V systems. When the voltage changes, the capacity also changes. If we only focus on the AH number, we will suffer losses.

3. Cutting corners and using inferior materials

Solar panels: Low efficiency solar cells are commonly used to achieve sufficient size, but the power cannot be reached, which can also affect the service life. Even worse, invalid battery cells are used, and in some places, printed paper is packaged in the components to make them of sufficient size. So estimating the power of these solar panels based on their size is ineffective.

LED street lights: Use low-power light beads to impersonate high-power light beads, such as the common 2835 or 5730 light beads in the market, with each 0.1-0.5W light bead impersonating a high-power light bead of 1W per bead; Using domestically produced LED chips with low brightness and low prices to impersonate imported big brand LEDs; Using lightweight and thin walled lighting fixtures, they can be blown off directly in windy areas.

Battery: When using gel batteries in the past, experienced customers would weigh them, but there have been reports of illegal manufacturers adding sand, broken glass, and other substances to the battery electrolyte to increase weight. Nowadays, some manufacturers of lithium batteries also enlarge the casing to impersonate high-capacity batteries.

Street lamp pole: The promised wall thickness, diameter, flange thickness, etc. do not meet the standards; A batch of goods contains lamp posts with parameters that do not meet the standards; Using inferior forged steel plates for lamp posts; The lamp post made of galvanized sheet metal and galvanized pipe is impersonated as a whole hot-dip galvanized lamp post
